This year, in July, we will be stripping off to run (donning little more than a red scarf and plastic bull horns) in Spain with PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and activists from all over the world to highlight the cruelty involved in bull runs and to show it can be just as much fun, if not more, to hold an alternative annual 'Human Race'.

More than 40,000 bulls are barbarically slaughtered in rings in Spain each year. Thousands of visitors from around the world arrive in Pamplona , Spain , to join in the annual spectacle of the “Running of the Bulls.” But tourists are appalled to see the terrified animals racing through streets crawling with drinking, brawling people. The bulls' hooves slip on the pavement as they frantically try to escape the chaos. Sometimes, in their confusion, they bash into doors or the sides of buildings, breaking horns or legs. Human runners and spectators gouge them with sticks or pull their tails, and they, too, are sometimes injured, gored, or trampled by bulls desperate to escape. What awaits the animals that evening in the bullring is even more gut-wrenching. Bulls are repeatedly stabbed and bled in order to weaken them, and bullfighters sever the animals' spines while they are still conscious. For the fifth consecutive year, PETA members will lead hundreds of activists from around the world – many wearing nothing but plastic “bull horns” and running shoes – in a media-mobbed “Running of the Nudes” this July, along the same route where the bulls are stampeded, as a means of promoting a humans-only run.

Please could you sponsor us? It will only take a moment of your time and every little bit, no matter how small, will help towards PETA's fight in saving the bulls. Just click on the 'MAKE A DONATION' button in the left hand column of this page. Thankyou so much :)

We will keep a diary of this event on this blog, also the amount of sponsors we get and it should be a lot! We have until July 5th! We will also show you our video's and photo's of the race on this site! So bookmark us and check back often! Tell your friends too!

If you would like to participate in the run click here!! http://www.runningofthenudes.co.uk/reg.asp

BlogParty Contest!

Bloggers - win $250!

BlogParty is a new network of sites that help leverage your blog, but they need help getting the message out there. Most importantly, i've got to get Milo the tortoise's house built before he comes out of the fridge next week, yes.. i said fridge! Instead what i actually did was, in fact, absolutely sod all, i pretty much sat around on my lazy arse most of the day, up until around 5pm when 'Miss Cranky' aka Amy came home from school. Even with the heating on it was soo cold today i just couldn't motivate myself. It always makes me feel really guilty if i have a day off work and do nothing with it. Andy on the otherhand thinks a full day of rest is great and should be enjoyed and no doubt he's right, but still, it makes me feel really lazy and slobbish. After Amy came home, i started clearing our upstairs middle room that we used to use as a gym. The equipment is still in there but the room gradually became a resting place for all sorts of junk that we couldnt find a place for and it had become sooo messy it was unusable. It took me about an hour or so to give it a good going over and WOW, it looks good now! :) I might even tempt myself into having a workout in a bit...hmmm, or maybe i wont..

... Carly brought her friend Sarah over for a tongue piercing tonight. She was as white as a sheet before i even sat her down and no amount of reassurance helped calm her but she insisted we do it anyway. Unlike Carly, whos tongue i had pierced a few weeks previous, Sarah hadn't had a piercing done before and was really nervous, not knowing how painless tongue piercings actually are. It was pretty difficult getting the clamps in place because she just couldn't keep her tongue out of her mouth for me, instinctively retracting it as i tried to prepare for the piercing. Finally, i managed to keep her tongue out long enough to insert the needle and finish the piercing but it made it quite difficult for me. Oh well, she was glad to have got it done and was very happy with it so it was definately worth it :)

Some people are soooo lucky!

Andy and i rarely did the lottery until the Euro Lottery had its largest ever jackpot of over 25 million GBP. Andy spent around a tenner on tickets, he got a couple of numbers and the star numbers Aand won a grand total of 40 pounds! Ok, so the jackpot would have been much better but 40 free quids is 40 free quids! The following week, Andy decided to do the lottery and again, he won, this time 10 pounds. A few days later Andy came home from work with five scratch cards- won 68 pounds. Did the lottery that week and won 10 pounds again with 3 numbers. Then last night on the Uk lottery got another three numbers and won ten pounds again! I never win on the lottery. Often il get two numbers but never any more than that. Some people are just plain lucky eh? Hopefully Andy continues this winning streak, how nice would it be to hit the jackpot?! Not that i need anything more than i already have but because id give near anything to not have to work outside in the freezing cold talking to idiots any more. If we got the jackpot, after sorting out family, we would find somewhere warm and beautiful to settle, with lots of land where other people are far enough away not to bother me, where we could spend our days doing whatever we wanted to do. No more getting up at silly o'clock to go stand on freezing markets! Bliss! Thats all i want! Ahhh, i can dream cant i?

What would you do if you won the lottery??

Introducing Newfie girl..

Please give a warm welcome to my latest tenant Candi who is renting my blog this week. Set 400 years in the future, the World’s entire population lives in the only city left on Earth, walled in 'Bregna' after 99% of the human race were killed by a virus. The leader of this city and its people is a man named Trevor Goodchild, a scientist who created a vaccine to the deadly virus. The Monicans want Trevor Goodchild dead and assigns Aeon Flux to do the dirty deed. In true Hollywood style, things dont go quite to plan and after lots of fighting, shooting and leaping around in totally impossible ways, the hero's save the day. I won't spoil it for ya by saying anything else but il give it 3/5 - mainly for visuals as this made up for a weak'ish story.

Im Ranked!

Well it probably isn't a big deal to anyone else but its my first time so.. Our class was being shown how to knit. After a minute or two of my teacher trying to show me i ended up in the corner with a reading book as she was right-handed and unable to teach me. Growing up left-handed was awkward in a world designed specifically for right-handed people. I can remember being called 'cack-handed' on a regular basis when trying to attempt normal things like using an iron with the flex on the right hand side of the handle, day to day things like using scissors or peeling a potato.

In Britain around 13% of men and 11% of women are left-handed. Left-handedness coincides with high incidences of genius and creativity (i already knew this..lol) also autism and dyslexia.

Left-handedness and Religon

Throughout history, left handedness has been looked upon with suspicion and fear.

The following is from www.anythingleft-handed.co.uk
'For thousands of years, the Devil has been associated with the left hand in various ways and is normally portrayed as being left-handed in pictures and other images. In the seventeenth century it was thought that the Devil baptised his followers with his left-hand and there are many references in superstitions to the "left-hand side" being associated with evil. As an example, in France it was held that witches greet Satan "avec le bras gauche" or with the left hand. It is also considered that we can only see ghosts if we look over our left shoulder and that the Devil watches us over the left shoulder.

Christianity is strongly based towards the right hand. It is the right had that gives the blessing and make the sign of the cross.

On one count, the bible contains over 100 favourable reference to the right-hand and 25 unfavourable reference s to the left-hand. E.g.: The right hand of the lord doeth valiantly, the right hand of the lord is exalted (Psalm 118 vv15,16)

The left hand does worst in the parable of the sheep and goats. The sheep are set on Christ's right hand and the goats on the left. Those on the right inherit the kingdom of god while those on the let depart into everlasting fire.

This is pretty much the same in Judaism and Islam. In Islam, the left hand and everything associated with it is seen as unclean. This stems from the Middle Eastern custom of using the left-hand and water instead of toilet paper.'

Everyday things

Right-handed people rarely, if ever, have to consider things like the placement of water gauges on the side of a kettle, the opening of doors, ovens and microwaves with the left hand. Scissors and knives with the sharp side on the wrong side, where as these issues are a constant reminder to left-handed people of the difficulties we face most everyday.
Have you noticed how zips on trousers, coats etc are always on the right? try zipping up with your left hand! In P.E at school, i used to dread hockey as the stick was back to front for me and made it a much harder game to play than i already found it.
Handwriting has always been another reminder of how i differ to most. Throughout my life i have had people on a near daily basis comment on how i write with the book turned to one side so that the lines are top to bottom and how i write downwards.

Teachers would pass my desk and straighten my book so that it became impossible to write as my elbow of my left arm would smack against my left side as i got half way across the page, my hand smudging everything i had just written.. and the chalkboard? Forget that! As fast as i would write anything, my hand would wipe it off again! Now grown up, my problem is with my computer mouse, to left click my mouse i have to use my middle finger as opposed to my index finger so often i find myself accidently right clicking.

In banks and post offices, the pen is most often chained to the right hand side of the counter, meaning i have to drag it accross whatever it is im writing on. I insist now on using a pen that is not chained down.

Can openers are another pain for me. The Sony camera Andy bought me for christmas, the camera shutter button is on the right. Pressing the button with my less-dextrous hand makes it harder for me to hold the camera steady while taking a picture. Andys' Sony camcorder is really hard to use with everything including the Lcd screen on the wrong side. Maybe Sony only design for right-handed people?
Have you ever noticed that as a right handed person, the writing on a pen (like the business logo) is viewed correctly if you hold it with your right hand, but if you hold it with your left, the writing is upside down? Cups even discriminate against the left hander. Cups with a lip, if held in the left hand the lip is away from the user even little things like pictures on a cup. If the cup is held with the right hand the user can see the picture but if held with the left hand the picture is away from the user. Musical instruments too are either the wrong way round or upside down.

Left-hander health

In September 2005 a team of scientists in the Netherlands looked at the relationship between left and right-handedness and cases of breast cancer in more than 12,000 middle-aged women who were born between 1932 and 1941.The researchers concluded that LEFT-HANDED women are more at risk from breast cancer. The researchers also took body measurements and assessed risk factors such as economic status, smoking habits, family history of breast cancer and reproductive background.

The study, published online by the British Medical Journal, found left-handed women were more than twice as likely to develop pre-menopausal breast cancer as right-handed women.

Even when taking into account all risk factors, the overall association was hardly affected, the team from University Medical Centre Utrecht said.

The researchers revealed that the origins of the link may lie in exposure to high levels of sex hormones in the womb.

Such exposure can induce left-handedness as well as causing changes in breast tissue, previous studies have shown.

Cancer specialist Doctor Petra Peeters, who led the research team, said: "Although the underlying mechanisms remain elusive, our results support the hypothesis that left-handedness is related to increased risk of breast cancer."

A few advantages of being left-handed:

Left-handers are ruled by the right hemisphere of the brain, as is music, art, and logical thought. Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso and Michelangelo were left-handed. Ludwig van Beethoven, Isaac Newton, Charlie Chapin, Albert Einstein and
Bobby Fisher, the chess genius, are all left handed. So too are musicians Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Robert Plant and Ringo Starr.
In countries where people drive on the left hand side of the road (UK, Australia, etc.) left-handers find it easier to use a gear stick.
Adaptability: Because we are dominated by right-handed products, left-handers find it much easier to adapt to right-handed tools than right-handers are to left-handed tools.

If you can think of any reasons why its better to be 'a lefty' than 'a righty' email me and let me know!

My Tongue & Other Holes...

Ouch..

I've had a very sore tongue this week. The tip has been covered with tiny weeny, invisible, ulcers that have hurt like hell. I havent been able to speak without lisping and i've been dribbling like a year old baby. The only food i've managed to consume since sunday has been a couple of sandwiches and a piece of pizza although just now i managed a bowl of pasta bake.

I've had my tongue pierced.... AGAIN.
I had my first tongue piercing done last summer. We had taken Amy out to get hers done after weeks of her begging but she changed her mind at the piercers so i decided that i would have mine done instead. The piercing was suprisingly quite painless. The needle slid through like butter. Its nothing like biting your tongue... ..that hurts. Within an hour or so of having the piercing, my tongue swelled (this is a normal reaction) and felt really sore and like now, my tongue broke out in these nasty little ulcers. My second tongue piercing, i did myself. Ive been doing doing piercings for a good few years now so i felt confident enough. I used a sterile needle and because the piercing is nearer the tip of my tongue ive used a plastic retainer type 14mm bar with a flat back. That way there is no worry of an underneath ball wacking into the back of my teeth constantly. It feels a lot more comfortable with this type of jewellery too. If last time is anything to go by it should all be healed within a couple of days. By next week and after many salty water gargles, i should be talking properly and eating again! Different isnt it?

I like it

Labret..

As you can see in the photo, i also have my labret pierced (under my lip) My brother Darren did this for me about a year or so ago, again using sterile jewellery and a new canula. This piercing hurt enough to make me say "Oww!" Which is quite high on the 'piercing pain' level for me. It was a fast healing piercing and like my new tongue bar, i wear a retainer with a flat back.

Navel

I have a few other piercings that have been done over the years. My navel gained its first hole over 10 years ago. Back when my stomach was taught and flat :) Over time my skin has softened (or should that be sagged?) and the piercing ended up on the right hand side, so to balance it up i put one on the left hand side too. Then i put one above and below. Of all the piercings i have had that bottom one has got to be the second most painful! see My Tragus.

Stretching ears....

I started stretching my ears up about 2 years ago. I decided early on that i wouldnt get bigger than 10 mm. To stretch up my ears i used a piece of cocktail stick that i wrapped in sellotape regularly. As the skin relaxed i would stretch again with more tape until i reached about 3 mm. Then i continued the stretching over a few months by replacing the plugs with the next size up. Ive settled on 14mm. Andy has now stretched his up to 20mm, il never go any bigger than i already am. Did i just hear you say "Phew!" Mum?
Did i mention the second holes ive started stretching in my ears? Hehehe. At the moment they are 3 mm and have been for nearly a year. If i go any bigger on those it will only be another mil or two but i might just leave them how they are.

My Tragus

Last year i let Carly pierce my Tragus.. Big mistake! She somehow managed to go through the front and out of the side! It was her first ever piercing though. Then i agreed to let Andy correct Carlys wonky attempt.. Even bigger mistake!! He managed to cause more pain than i've ever experienced before! It was up there with childbirth! It took him a good few minutes to push the needle through. I swear he was grinding it as he pushed..! It got to the stage where i found myself laughing hysterically with the pain which set Andy off laughing whilst trying to finish off the piercing and the whole thing became ridiculous. Unless you like pain DONT EVER LET ANDY NEAR YOU WITH A NEEDLE!!!

Steel Sideburn..

In this picture, you can see my 'steel sideburn' as they're called. I did this last year. It was painless and needed no healing time. I thought maybe it would grow out but it hasn't shown any signs of growing out yet so i doubt it will now. i really like this piercing and the copy cats out there liked it too! (you know who you are!)

Well, i think thats about it, oh, other than my nose but then who hasn't got that?
I don't know for sure if il have any more piercings, this is mainly because i can't think of anything different, as you can see, i like my piercings to be a bit different to the norm'.. but im always open to ideas!

Building a Tortoise Home..

Exactly one year ago, to this day, i recieved an email from a member of the Tortoise Trust asking if i was able to rehome four Geochelone Pardalis (Leopard) Tortoises. Their history was that they, along with many, many other tortoises, had been snatched from their wild habitat by reptile dealers in Uganda in 2002, for the purpose of sale in England. Customs officers at Heathrow airport descovered and confiscated them. Unfortunately the tortoises could not be put back into the wild due to risk of disease that could wipe out whole areas, so the Tortoise Trust took on as many as they could and rehomed them to experienced tortoise keepers around the Uk.
My four were rehomed to a tortoise keeper in the Isle of Sheppy where they stayed for three years. Due to ill health and the size these animals grow, the tortoise keeper had to find a new home for them. In short, i had arranged to collect Melaika, Obi, Cara and Chiumbo at the end of March which gave Andy only 6 weeks to build me a shed suitable for the tortoises!

With my plans drawn up, we started around the second week in february. I nearly killed myself digging a trench 8'x 10'x 2' and filling it with cement to stop any animals from burrowing into the shed from the garden. Making sure it was level, Andy then began to measure and cut the wood we needed.
A couple of days into the job, the weather changed for the worse bringing blizzards of thick snow . Andy decided to continue with any work we could do to meet our deadline and spent many a day with icicles hanging from his beard! I supplied plenty of hot coffee to keep him thawed!

The four sides were made up with stud work, which Andy covered with half log cladding, making sure to keep fixing points for an inside tortoise table that i needed for my 4 baby leopard tortoises who were at the time living in a tortoise table in my bedroom. The next job was to put together three A frames for the roof and cover them in marine ply which was then covered in extra thick ash felt. I then lagged the inside walls and roof to keep the heat in. Andy ordered double glazed toughened units for the windows, baring in mind the shed had to be kept at high temperatures. The windows fixed in place, it was then onto the electrics. Andy concealed the cables in the walls and put in a weather proof, electric switch box and some electric points which were needed for the heat lamps that the tortoises required. Andy built the babies table with their own entrance hatch at the side and a ramp leading into the garden. He then lined the inside using the half round log cladding, which i stained to protect the wood from rot. Flagstones were used for the floor to keep it rodent proof, then onto the stable door, which caused Andy lots of work and grief as i also wanted a lift up hatch door for the tortoises to come and go as they pleased. Lining up the two parts of the door was, as Andy described, hell and then some! Mortice locks in place, the shed was finished all but a coating of wood protector which i painted all over whilst Andy mortar proofed the inner seal between the floor and walls to make the shed water tight. The only thing left to do was cover the floor with a substrate of top soil and playsand and hang the uv bulbs. We finished the shed a week before we were due to collect the leopards so i managed to landscape their garden too!

A Prayer for a Tortoise! By the late K.A.Gray, Exmouth, Devon

Stupid Dogs...

A week ago, i noticed that Tilly, my hyperactive and very silly, two year old Golden Retriever, had been nibbling at her front leg. On inspection it looked as though she had been bitten by an insect. She had a small red sore that, over the following week, become much worse due to her constant nibbling and licking at it. A couple of nights later, Andy noticed a large, wet patch on Pans neck. When he had a closer look he was shocked to find a great big, red raw, patch of hairless skin. Pan (Andys collie/staf cross) obviously couldnt have done this to himself, it had to be Tilly! She has been eating them both! Tilly often pulls Pan around by the neck when they play together but there has never been any damage, until now! Andy phoned the vet and had an appointment booked for today. They were given creams and antibiotics for infected wounds and.. Lamp shade neck collars!! Hahaha!

Click here to see Poor Pan (NOT for the squimish!)

Click here to see Silly Tilly!

Party In The Woods!

For Halloween last year we decided, on a whim, to have a party in the woods! We have a beautiful 13 acre wood near the pretty seaside town of Hastings. Full of Ash, Hazel, Hornbeam, Oak Standard, Chestnut, Wild Cherry and Silver Birch. All of the trees in the woods are
coppiced apart from the Oak Standards. The woods are home to an array of wild life including foxes, rabbits, badgers, a seen only once - black deer, red deer, countless insects, birds, such as Nut hatches, Wood Peckers, Owls, Pheasants and many other small birds. With the arrival of spring the woods become alive with activity, the woodland floor changes from a sea of fallen autumn leaves to a vibrant carpet of bluebells, wood anemone, fox gloves and random patches of rare wild primroses to treat the eye.

Scott, Andy and I spent the following 5 mondays working the day in the woods, clearing large areas and building path ways.

Andy would build a lovely fire with fallen branches of all sizes and twigs for kindling, then chop wood to keep it going. Scott would make the coffee whilst i supplied tasty picnics of sandwiches, pot noodles, crisps and apple pies. We worked very hard but had the best time down there, each monday being blessed with late summer sunshine. Finally the work was finished. We had cleared a large circle around 40 foot in diameter around the main oak tree, put an old car tire on the swing rope and removed a couple of tree stumps. In the camp area, which we linked to the rope swing circle with a leaf walled path, we cleared over 40feet of 6 foot high brambles and created a large open area about 70 feet in diameter. We also created footpaths leading from the camps to the furthest point we could bring in the landrover. We put up tents, filled the trees

with pumpkins, glow in the dark skeletons and hundreds of glow in the dark snap sticks, cackling witches, spiders and bats. It looked absolutely fantastic. When it got dark the glow sticks looked awsome. The kids had lined the path ways with glowing arrows and messages of direction.
The day of our party came, bringing with it the first heavy rain in weeks, infact the heaviest rain id seen in years! Just typical, but we didnt let it ruin our party instead we shot out and bought a rain sheet 30 foot square which we placed up high on teepee poles to cover the barbeque area. We had bought lots of food and treats and the kids were really looking forward to it. There were 10 kiddies and 7 adults at the party. We took music and drums and built a roaring fire in the fire pit. The heavy rain stopped not long after we got there which was a blessing but the mud was thick and squelchy and resembled the mud pits at the Glastonbury festival. The night was moonless and outside of the camp was pitch black. The tent, filled with sleeping bags, was soon occupied by most of the kiddies, the older ones telling scary stories. Us adults sat with a few of the younger children around the roaring fire, singing songs, dancing, telling funny stories, and eating burgers and hot dogs being dished out by Andy who sucessfully manned the barbeque. Later in the evening, after the kids one by one fell asleep in the tent, us adults sat drinking round the fire whilst Andy, Darren and Steve entertained us with fantastic drumming which carried on into the night. After a night filled with claustrophobic attacks from sleeping in a small tent with Andy and two dogs, i woke early. We finally went home around 1pm after what turned out to be a fabulous night! The kids thoroughly enjoyed getting coated in mud from head to toe nearly as much as us adults did :) We will definately be having parties there again, hopefully sometime this spring!

Introducing Sophie..

This is my niece, Sophie, aka Sausage. He is 8 yrs old. Last November he joined a ju jitsu class. Dylan is doing fantastic and shows great ability, im told. He has just earned his first badge which he proudly displays on his sleeve. The badge means that he can do his breakfalls (landing properly) He's up next to earn his second badge for his rolls. When he gets his licence next week he will be put in for his first grading which will mean he moves onto his yellow belt. Well done Dylan!
Keep kicking, punching and blocking your way to the top!! Dylan is also mad on football, he supports Arsenal..Good boy Dyl! ..Collects Shoot out football stickers and cards and loves chilling on his playstation.

13th Feb. O6

Update

Dylan is now a yellow belt! To earn this grade, Dylan had to stand with his partner in front of two Sensai, there to score him in a variety of moves which included break falls, rolls, kata, forward strangles, back strangles and a number of other self defence moves. In his eagerness, Dylan did two forward rolls when instructed to do one and nearly ended up under the judges table, hehehe. Bless. The Sensai laughed and told him he was greedy. After his test, Dylan bowed and went to wait outside whilst the sensai graded him. When they called him in and told him he had passed he grinned from ear to ear, so proud of himself. Carly cried her eyes out. Dylan then had his white belt removed by the sensai which was replaced with a yellow belt. What a great moment, i will post pics as soon as i get them. Dylan was told he performed exceptionally well and was half a point off getting a gold trophy for being student of the day in grading. Brilliant, well done Dylan!

Carlys Topless Escapade

Update: Fri, 2oth Jan.
On awaking this morning my first thought was 'Oh no i've overslept!' followed by an excited 'Ooh Lou's in the paper today!' So i rushed around, getting ready in record breaking time, fed my zoo and hurried off for work (still arrived an hour late-oops!) I had planned on picking up the paper on the way but you know, i was suprised to find that alot of shops are not allowed to sell it, WHSmiths being one. I finally found my copy in the Post Office - they're allowed to sell it but WHS isn't?? I also picked up The Mail as i seriously didnt want to be seen in the market with The Daily Sport under my arm - Oh the shame!

Page 6. There she is! Phew! She looks absolutely fantastic, taking the page all for herself (apart from the x-rated adverts neatly placed down the left hand column of the page) She was so nervous about the content of the article, petrified they would make her sound trashy and anyone who has read some of the stories published in 'The Sport' will understand why. But its okay Lou! Your humility is saved! Yay!

I looked online for a copy of the article but couldnt find it so heres the picture
that they printed. If i can get my scanner working again il scan the article clipping and post it to the site, but im sure this will do ya for now :)

update 28/01/06:

Yay! At 30, she's about four years younger than me.
Tomorrow Carly is going to pose for a soft porn, trash tabloid - The Daily Sport. Yep, shes actually gonna do it! Totally mad eh? Before i continue, let me explain what lead up to this.
Back in August 03 i purchased two Robbie Williams concert tickets to sell on Ebay. They were bought but the lady who had won the bid decided to not pay up or contact me, so i found myself going to see Robbie live at Knebworth.
Now i dont mind admitting a dislike for Robbie W. but i will say what a great show it turned out to be. Midway through the show Robbie pulled Carly onto the stage and, well, let Carly tell you herself. This is an article from The Sun Newspaper:

05/08/03 - The Sun
Robbie gave me snoggie

THIS is the lucky girl who snogged Robbie Williams live on stage at Knebworth — in front of 125,000 fans.
Carly Quinlan told last night how he pulled her from the front row on Sunday and kissed her as the crowd yelled with delight.
The single mum-of-two could not believe her luck when Robbie chose her to join him for the sexy number Come Undone. She was so overjoyed she even grabbed his bum as they smooched.
Carly said: “It was amazing. One minute I was watching Robbie from the crowd and the next he was kissing me on stage. It was a full on proper snog. I’ve never known anything like it.”
Carly, 27, from Romford, Essex, went to Knebworth with her sister Debbie, and a pal. They arrived at the stately home before noon and waited until 8.25pm for Robbie to bound onstage.
Carly said: “As he sang Come Undone he strode up to me and suddenly I was being pulled up on stage by his security guard.
I was on stage in front of 125,000 people but I never heard them. I was just staring into Robbie’s eyes. We started dancing and I grabbed hold of his bum.
“Then he dropped the mike, pulled me towards him and started snogging me. All I could think was ‘Oh my God, I’m snogging Robbie Williams’.”
The magic moment was beamed on to Knebworth’s giant screens.

Carlys fame grew slightly for a while, she appeared on the dvd and had a great time all round but gradually it was forgotten. Well, until today that is! Carly recieved a phone call from a friend who had spotted an article in todays Daily Sport, covering the kiss (2 years later??!!)
There, amongst pitures of Carlys' Kiss, in a large newsflash type star were the words 'Are you the mystery brunette? Contact us and we'll make you a star!!' and that is how Carly has managed to find herself due in a Bermondsey studio tomorrow for a photo shoot, in her underwear, for the Uk's smuttiest trash tabloid! Oh Lou, you are crazy..lol.. :)

Update: Wed, 17th Jan.
Carly had to go to the studios alone :( i couldnt get the time from work to go with her. I got a text just now from her saying 'I regret it already! what have i done?'... Only friday will tell!!

Fridge Problems.

Milo, my 65 year old, Testudo Ibera tortoise, has been in the fridge (yes the fridge ) after completing a four week windown on 24/11/05. Last year he went into the same fridge and i had few problems. The inside temperature stayed steady rarely leaving the 5.* degree range. (5-7 is perfect) but this year with the weather feeling quite mild the fridge has been up in the 7-8 range for a few weeks at its lowest setting. Milo hasnt woke up but he has managed to turn a full 360 degrees and has lost 11 grams since i weighed him on 5/01/06. I dont know how long i will be able to keep him down because of the higher temps but as long as he doesnt wake and his temps are no higher than 9+ il leave him as long as possible.

Milo. Now iv never really been into ice hockey, never seen a game, apart from the fights footage they show on television, so didnt really fancy going. Amy, on the other hand really took to the idea so we arranged that the following sunday (yesterday) we would go to the ice hockey match. We had 6 tickets in all, so we asked my sister Carly if she and her 2 kiddies (Sophie and Dylan) would like them. Yesterday came and we found ourselves getting ready to go. By this time, i had gone off the idea totally. Andy had escaped with the 'il still be at work' excuse and Amy had decided that, actually, she would prefer to go to Pizza Hut with her friends but Lou n the kids arrived and Dylan had brought a friend with him so there was no turning back!

We arrived at the the rink and spent a fortune on a few warm chips and drinks before sitting down. The place was packed with spectators and the kiddies were buzzing. It felt like we were in an American film. Music was blaring, cheerleaders were cheerleading and the few visiting Slough Jets fans were drowning out the lot with their constant screams of good humoured abuse. The match started, and then stopped. Then started, and then stopped... this continued for quite a while and it took us a good two rounds to work out what was going on. In the last half hour we had it kind of figured out and found ourselves shouting along with the rest of them :) There were a few scuffles between the players during the match but just before the end every player from both teams and the officials were in a massive brawl which lasted a good few minutes, i havent a clue what it was over but it went crazy in there for a while! Boys of all sizes and shapes appeared from nowhere, adrenalin rushing with excitement, bouncing up and down, cheering on everyone in the fight, regardless of team preference. There was a huge atmosphere of excitement coming from the entire arena. Just like witnessing a playground fight all over again..lol. The romford raiders went from an abysmal 4-0 to 4-4 but lost 6-4 in the final minutes. It was absolutely, bloody brilliant, i enjoyed the whole thing amensely! I am definately hooked and will take Amy to see them play next sunday. She missed a fantastic night!

Yahoo Fantasy Football - week 23 continued..

I left the house just after 4pm to go see an ice hockey match ..Go Raiders!!!http://debbysdaily.blogspot.com/2006/01/ice-hockey.html (actually we lost 6-4 but bloody good game none the less!) Sunderland were 1-0 up after 12 minutes (Lawrence) so on returning home i went straight online to see how the game had panned out. The match finally ended 2-1 Chelsea with a 29th minute goal from Crespo and a 69th minute goal from Arjen Robben who then wrecked it by jumping over the advertising boards to celebrate with fans. The ref saw this as an offence and gave him a yellow card which then became a red as he had already got a yellow previously for a foul on Lawrence in the 37th minute.
Robben ended up getting me 13.50 points which cant be laughed at and Crespo earned me 17.50. So overall i had a good week earning a grand total of 132 points. Not bad! :) Im now in the 99th percentile in 2020 place. Not bad at all! :)

Sporting EE-AW
Points: 1999
Overall Rank: 2,020
Percentile: 99th
Rank Change: +130

My Groups

Fans of Arsenal
Rank: 302
Percentile: 99th
Rank Change: +16
Cannabis&Carlsberg Div 12
Rank: 1 of 9

On to conquer week 24!...

Yahoo Fantasy football - week 23

I've spent over a week deciding who to field for week 23. With Arsenal playing Middlesborough and Chelsea at home to Sunderland i had to have at least a couple of participating players. Arsenal's 'King' Henry has been in my team consistently and this week was no exception especially as i got him 'cheap' at 22.15. Seeing him contribute vastly towards a 7-0 thrashing over the 'boro' i am ecstatic to say the least! After scoring a fantastic hattrick and me a grand total of 47.50 i couldnt have asked for a better result! Even cheap midfielder (4.89) Aleksandr Hleb managed to put one away for me earning me more than double his cost with 11 points :)

Forwards Opp Action Price Chg GP G A MWG SPG SOT SC FW CW PKM PTS

T.
